Frequently asked questions
How do I swap Bitcoin for Monero?
Open the app, choose BTC in “You send”, type the amount and press Exchange. Pick a quote, enter your Monero address and send the exact BTC amount to the deposit address shown.
Do I need an account or KYC?
No. There are no accounts. The app only shows exchanges rated A or B by Trocador, which do not ask for ID in normal trades; an exchange may still hold a trade it flags as high risk.
How long does it take?
Usually 10 to 60 minutes. Each quote shows the estimated time; Bitcoin needs confirmations first. Lightning is usually faster.
Is it non-custodial?
Not for BTC: the exchange holds the funds during the swap. MoneroP2P’s non-custodial atomic swaps are for USDT on Arbitrum One.
Can I swap Monero back to Bitcoin?
Yes, with the ⇅ button in the app, or directly at monerop2p.app/en/app/?side=sell.
Before using any exchange, read the risk notice.
